Corrections Policy
Our Approach to Errors
We hold ourselves to a high standard of accuracy. When we get something wrong — and occasionally we will — we fix it quickly, openly, and without trying to pretend it didn't happen.
Types of Corrections
Factual errors
If we publish an incorrect statistic, date, score, venue, or other factual claim, we correct it immediately and note the correction at the bottom of the article with a timestamp.
Typographical errors
Minor typos and formatting issues are corrected silently (without a correction notice) as they do not affect the substance of the content.
Odds and market data
Odds change frequently. If odds we've published have moved significantly since publication, we may update the article. We will note when odds were last checked in the article's metadata. Odds are always indicative — we recommend checking live odds directly with your betting operator.
Model revisions
If our statistical model produces a materially different result after a data update (e.g., a late team change), we may revise a tip or preview. Any revision is noted with a timestamp and a brief explanation of what changed.
Correction Format
When a correction is made, we add a notice at the bottom of the affected article in the following format:
Correction (27 Mar 2026): An earlier version of this article stated [incorrect information]. This has been corrected to [correct information].
Reporting an Error
If you spot an error on footybets.com.au, please let us know. We appreciate it.
- Email: help@footybets.com.au
- Subject line: "Correction request — [article name]"
- Include: the URL of the page, what you believe is incorrect, and (if possible) a source for the correct information
We aim to review correction requests within 24 hours on business days.
Track Record Transparency
We publish our tipping track record — including losses and win rates — on our Track Record page. We believe that transparency about our results is essential to earning your trust.
